Work? Awww do i have to?

At the moment work is not the most fun I could be having.

At the moment Work is probably the most horrible place I can imagine.
I work for an extremely large and well known ISP and due to a bad decision, we are getting hammered with calls on a Daily basis. I'm not assigning blame- but come on guys, think about the choices you make, not just about the money you'll save!!


My colleagues are getting stressed, I'm getting stressed.

Here's an example of the conversations I have at the moment

Customer-My Internets not working
Me- I am afraid that there is a problem at the moment, we are aware of it and are working to get it fixed asap.
Customer- Cant you fix it now?
Me- Wish I could, it is with the Engineers but we don't have a Fix time at the moment.
Customer- That's not good enough, I want it fixed now.
Me -As I said, we do have a problem but the engineers have not been able to give us a fix time yet,
Customer- THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH........


Ok, I know its not good enough, I've had 12 people today say the same thing, at differing volumes. The Answer is the same however, NO MATTER HOW LOUD YOU SHOUT!!!!!

The population seem to consider the Internet to be the 4Th major utility along with water, gas and electricity. When it don't work people start getting all shitty, mostly because they cant browse for some weird little kink they have.
Its fine that they have a kink, we all have deep down.I Just wish you'd all stop, shouting at me and my friends coz you cant find videos about it. :P

15 years ago only Geeks used the Internet....now we have people running businesses from home, working from home, running their own porn site from home!!(which by the way, if your on a residential ISP is breaking terms and conditions and technically I could cancel your account for doing it)

So for the love of Microsoft, chill the Hell out. Read a book, or make your own porn. Be patient and your ability to browse will be restored. Just stop shouting at us............
